Imagine to edit your own history, again and again, over and over. Not exactly in order to change it completely, but in order to reinforce parts of it and deconstruct other parts. I am sure you do it too, one way or the other, whether you are aware of it or not. It is a part of the human condition.  We remember things differently. Anu Ramdas scavenges through old family photos and 8mm´s, she cuts and edits, records and takes photos. She is inventing approximate dates, years, places. Time is floating back and forth. You will never know, to what extent, the image is a matter-of-fact or fiction or part both.

Anu Ramdas works in the field of photography, film, performance and text. Her work has been shown in Denmark , Sweden , Italy , Greece , Turkey , Albania , China and Japan .

Lives and works in Copenhagen .
