Born in the UK in 1982, Victoria Lucas currently lives and works in Sheffield. She graduated from a Fine Art Sculpture Degree in 2004 from Norwich School of Fine Art, and in 2007 she was awarded a MFA Fine Art Degree from the University of Leeds.

Victoria is an interdisciplinary artist and Independent curator, and has exhibited her work in various exhibitions both nationally and internationally. She is interested in creating artworks that capture and represent the minutiae present in the everyday, bringing in to focus the transient nature of life and notions of mortality. Objects, places, and moments that reference the act of living are examined, reinforcing the ephemeral nature of existence against the passage of time. Lucas often utilizes the location selected, creating both artworks and group exhibitions within varying contexts. Her video installations in particular employ this technique, as the moving image and its specific temporality is used to record and represent time within specific spaces.
